Winners of The Pilsen Fox colouring competition announced.

Pilsen Auto, based Ballymount, the new home of Skoda in West Dublin announced the winners of their Pilsen Fox colouring competition last week.

The competition was open to four age groups, under 6,8,10 and 12’s, all entrants had to do was colour in the Pilsen Fox beside his car the Skoda Fabia and return the completed picture to Pilsen Auto.

“We were delighted at the number of entries we received to the competition. The standard of colouring was very high and choosing one winner in each category was very difficult. Congratulations to the four winners and well done to everyone who entered The Pilsen Fox competition” commented Eva O’Toole, Marketing Manager of Pilsen Auto.

The winners of the competition each won a €50 Smyth’s voucher and a Skoda goodie bag.

To everyone’s surprise the Pilsen Fox made an appearance at the Ballymount Dealership to congratulate the winners in person, and present them with their great prizes.

The winners were Jack Dardis (Under 6), Leigh Kelly (Under 8), Cian Curtis (Under 10) and Naura Abbassene (Under 12).

Well done to all the colouring competition winners! The Pilsen fox wants all the boys and girls of West Dublin to keep an eye out for the next upcoming colouring competition.

Over 150 guests gathered at the stylish AutoDynamic SEAT showroom in Ballymount, to support courageous employees, from both companies, walk on fire.

Guests were treated to an action packed night with 31 firewalkers braving 20 feet of hot coals reaching 800 degrees for the charity. Nova broadcasted live from the impressive showroom, Diageo sponsored the bar on the night and the ‘Mafia Meat Wagon’ kept all the guests happy with a delicious selection of gourmet burgers.

The event successfully raised nearly €14,000 for St John’s cancer ward in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin, smashing REDCO/IT Force’s original €10,000 target.   “I am delighted that all of the funds raised here tonight will go directly towards St. John’s Ward, the National Cancer Paediatric Centre of Ireland. These much needed funds will aid with the new refurbishment of the ward. We cannot thank IT Force/REDCO enough for their support and we are immensely appreciative for their fundraising efforts” commented Rachel McGibney, Corporate Fundraising Executive of the CMRF.

Guests were also invited to bid in a silent auction which included the much sought after Samsung Galaxy Ace sponsored by Vodafone, a Lily O’Brien’s chocolate hamper and €100 voucher for the Powder Room Girls located across the road from the SEAT showroom.

Noel Stynes of IT Force and Aidan Finn of REDCO were recognised on the night for their outstanding fundraising efforts, jointly raising nearly €2000.

Pilsen (as part of the REDCO group) and IT Force Ltd are teaming up for the 2012 Firewalk Challenge (10^th of March 2012) to raise funds and increase awareness of the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation (CMRF) at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

The Firewalk Challenge is a motivational training seminar where you learn to break through your own limitations and overcome your fears. At the end the participants walk bare foot across 20 feet of wood embers burning at 800 degrees!

The event is being held to raise funds and increase the awareness of CMRF which supports the research into the cause, treatment, care and prevention of children’s illness and disease. The CMRF also actively supports excellence in the care and treatment of sick children by providing supplementary equipment, facilities and assistance.
